It’s never too soon — but booking isn’t required. We happily accept all orders, even last-minute ones. That said, we highly encourage booking in advance to lock in your spot — especially during busy wedding seasons when we might fill up fast. Booking ahead gives you peace of mind and helps us plan the best possible care for your flowers.

Local to us? Drop-offs can be made directly to our studio in Pine Bush, NY — we’re open Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and we also offer a contactless drop-off area for after-hours convenience. Out of state? No problem! After booking, you’ll receive an email with step-by-step shipping and care instructions to ensure your flowers arrive fresh and ready for preservation. In fact, the majority of bouquets we press are shipped from out of state — and they arrive in amazing shape! We also offer an optional shipping kit for $145. It includes everything you need to safely send your bouquet to us, but it’s not required — our emailed instructions walk you through how to pack your flowers using materials you likely already have at home.

Once you book your frame, you'll immediately receive detailed instructions on how to safely ship your flowers. One of the biggest perks of working with us is that we partner with Pirate Ship, a website that offers discounted UPS shipping rates — saving you time and money. The entire process can take up to 3 - 4 months to complete. Please note that this timeline is subject to fluctuate & we will be sure to communicate that! We will never rush your flowers & sacrifice quality!

Most will be pressed, but not all will be pressed. Our focus will be flowers in the best condition because those will press the best and look the best in your frame! Our team goes through and selects the flowers with the best quality & condition. We make sure we have enough to fill the frame size you have purchased.

At Hudson Stems we color correct the most sensitive flowers that change the most in the press (whites, pinks, reds, purples, etc), but opt to keep flowers that are known to keep their color overtime, natural. This hybrid method allows for a striking balance between preserving the delicate hues of sensitive flowers that loose their color while celebrating the authentic charm of nature. Additionally, we are able offer color correction at an accessible price! The natural evolution of your blooms in ANY art form is inevitable. Yes! When professionally preserved and framed, your pressed flowers can last for many years — even becoming cherished heirlooms for future generations. To help your frame stay beautiful: Display it out of direct sunlight Avoid placing near windows or air vents Keep it in a cool, dry space These small steps will help maintain the color, shape, and quality of your flowers for as long as possible. That said, some natural changes may occur over time — it’s all part of the preservation journey — but your piece will always remain meaningful and beautiful. We try my best to press all types of flowers! However there are flowers that have a very high water content and therefore they do not do well in the press, when you contact us we go over your flower types to make sure your bouquet is "pressable"! please note that the only two flowers that we currently do not press calla lilies. We have found that they do not tend to look aesthetically pleasing when they are the only flower represented. If you have an all calla lily bouquet we encourage you to go the route of resin or shadowbox preservation. If your bouquet only includes a few of them we will still press and leave it up to you if you would like them included them in your frame.

We make every effort to include each flower from your bouquet, but sometimes there isn’t enough space to incorporate every single element. Unlike many other companies, we return any unused petals to you, as we recognize that even these small pieces hold special meaning.
